3. Happy New Year!

   It's nearly the end of January and I'm just finding time to post a short blog here. Let's just say that I'm glad that 2008 is gone and 2009 has started! Now, let's get on to stitching info.

   Yes, I'm nuts! I get these crazy ideas in my head and then run with them! Ok, so here's crazy idea #1. I'm at the hockey game (local, minor league) and I'm looking around at all these people that have hockey jerseys - and I don't. Looking at all the people that have hats, etc. Let me say that I make a decent enough living to "own" a house but that's pretty much it. So I have to be frugal in everything else in order to survive.    I finished my Book of Ink Circles part 4 (top right fishtail) last night. I finished all the red, green, blue, orange, and black and liked how it looked. But to stay in the spirit I started the purple fill-in stitches in the middle. My purple goes so dark that it looked black. By stitching the purple I lost the designation between the dark blue and black (which aren't far apart) and it just looked like colors squashed up instead of a (somewhat) knot design. 9. A lot has happened...

   In the last three weeks! I finished my fantasy magic exchange and sent it off, I became a stitching bulletin board owner, I finished my last model and sent it back, received my first project for the UFO RR, and pulled an old WIP out of my stash.
   
   On the personal side, the kids and I (daughter and boyfriend) went out to dinner at The Olive Garden last night. I asked a friend to meet us there so I didn't have to be the third wheel.

10. Getting close

    Yes, I'm getting close to finishing my Fantasy/Magic exchange project. All I have left is the backstitching and so far it's coming along quickly. (Note to self: put a little more DMC 310 into that project bag before leaving for the lns tomorrow!) Yes, that actually makes sense. See, I've acquired LOTS of DMC 310 and I can put either another bobbin or a skein/partial skein in this project bag. I certainly don't *need* to buy more, especially at full lns price.
